DescriptionFile systems are driving the high-performance workflows as HPC and verticals employing HPC-like technologies drive to Exascale. The path to Exascale will enable organizations to continue with the speed they need to realize a high level of productivity and performance to achieve the breakthroughs they seek in research, oil and gas, financial services, manufacturing and big data applications. In addition, the required massive throughput and highly parallel access are challenging traditional SAN and NAS storage technologies.
Using real-world examples, we will share specific techniques deployed in top HPC and customer sites that are helping them realize exascale speed. This discussion will focus on ways to optimize data access, storage and management at extreme scales and include examples of HPC sites.
