DescriptionI will discuss briefly the question of how important flagship supercomputing really is to our future based on past evidence. I will present an idiosyncratic view of what makes a "good" supercomputer and will conclude with a few remarks on where supercomputing is likely to go in the next few years to decades and some of the challenges of getting there.
