Ann Gentile
Biography
Ann Gentile is Sandia National Laboratories' (SNL) Operations Lead for the NNSA ACES Trinity Supercomputer sited at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Her research interests are in HPC Monitoring and Analysis and in Adaptive Dynamic Systems based on monitoring system data. Ann is active in building the HPC Monitoring community as the Coordinating Chair of the Workshop on Monitoring and Analysis of HPC Systems Plus Applications (HPCMASPA) and as co-founder of the community website and mailing list Monitoring Large-Scale HPC Systems. She is a developer of the 2015 R&D award-winning Lightweight Distributed Metric Service (LDMS) which is included in the NNSA Tri-lab operating system stack (TOSS) with production deployments which include NCSA's Blue Waters. She is a member of the ASCR-funded Holistic Measurement Driven Resilience (HMDR) project. Ann holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from the University of Illinois.
