Ferad Zyulkyarov

Biography
Ferad Zyulkyarov has received his PhD in 2006 from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. During his PhD he worked on transactional memory and made contributions with the first real world transactional memory application Atomic Quake, debugging primitives as well as new profiling and optimization techniques. After the PhD he joined Intel Labs Barcelona and worked on persistent programming with non-volatile main memories and persistence. His work contributed to the introduction of PCOMMIT and CLWB x86 instructions. Currently, he is the resiliency work package leader at the Mont-Blanc project at Barcelona Supercomputing Center. His interests include fault tolerance, non-volatile memory, persistent programming as well as disaggregated rack-scale systems.
