Ganesh Gopalakrishnan is a professor of Computer Science at the School of Computing, University of Utah, Salt Lake City and is an IEEE Senior Member and an ACM Distinguished Scientist. He joined the School of Computing in 1986 and has graduated 20 PhD students in areas spanning self-timed circuits, shared memory consistency, formal verification methods for parallel and distributed programs, and system resilience. His research related to reproducibility is under NSF's SI2 program, and this work is focused on understanding the effect that data races and floating-point result variability can have on reproducibility.
