Gunther Weber

Biography
Gunther H. Weber earned his Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2003 and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis) until 2006. In 2007 he joined the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's (LBNL) Computational Research Division, where he currently holds a position as Staff Scientist. He also has an appointment as Adjunct Associate Professor of Computer Science at UC Davis. His research interests include computer graphics, scientific visualization, data analysis, in situ processing, topological data analysis methods, parallelization of visualization algorithms, and hierarchical data representation methods. Gunther has over 70 publications and has served as reviewer for funding agencies (DOE, NSF) as well as on international program committees of internationally recognized conferences.
