Hans Pabst

Biography
Hans Pabst is an application engineer mainly enabling open source scientific applications to take advantage of current and future hardware. Hans is working in Intel's High Performance and Throughput Computing (HPC) team focusing on scientific computing and parallel algorithms research, code optimizations, and hardware-software co-design.
Hans previously worked as a software development and application engineer in the field at RapidMind Inc. and later at Intel Corporation developing just-in-time compiler (JIT) technology combined with a threading runtime. He contributed to the virtual machine specification, the compiler frontend, and the definition of the high-level language. He also educated and evangelized customers in the technical computing as well as in the embedded computing domain to take advantage of Intel’s software development tools, compilers, debuggers, and threading runtimes.
