Jeffrey Carver

Biography
Biography: Jeffrey Carver is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Alabama. He earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Louisiana State University and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Maryland under the supervision of Victor Basili. His current research focuses on empirical software engineering, software engineering for computational science and engineering, software architecture, software inspections, and software quality. He is the primary organizer of the Software Engineering for Science workshop series, of which this workshop is a part. He is the Associate Editor in Chief of Computing in Science and Engineering (CisE) and co-editor of the Software Engineering Track of CiSE. He is also the editor of a special issues of Computing in Science and Engineering, consisting of the best papers from previous editions of the SE-CSE workshop. He is a senior member of the IEEE and the ACM.
