Jim Galarowicz

Biography
Jim Galarowicz is a Senior Computer Scientist, Lead at the Krell Institute in Ames, Iowa. He earned his B.S in Math Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and a nigh Master of Science in Computer Science at the University of Minnesota. Jim has had a number of roles in HPC starting at Cray Research as a compiler developer, at Silicon Graphics as a senior debugger and performance tools developer, at SGI developer tools group manager and currently with the Krell Institute managing and developing the Open|SpeedShop application performance tool. Jim’s research interests include parallel application performance monitoring and debugging, compiler development, program management, and parallel application optimization. Jim has published articles related to Open|SpeedShop and collaborated on papers related to performance analysis tools such as Cray Pat and Open|SpeedShop.
