Karla Morris

Biography
Karla Morris is a Senior Member of Technical Staff in the “Digital and Quantum Info Systems” department at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA, USA. She holds Ph.D., M. Phil., M.E. and B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from The City University of New York. Before joining Sandia, she conducted postdoctoral research at CCNY¹s Benjamin Levich Institute for Physico-chemical Hydrodynamics. She has taught tutorials and short courses on modern Fortran at many conferences and institutions in Europe and the US. Her research interests span a broad range of topics, including multiphysics flows, HPC, scientific software architecture, programming models, formal methods, and formal verification of high consequence systems.
