Lili Ju received a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Wuhan University, China in 1995, M.S. in Computational Mathematics from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1998, and Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Iowa State University in 2002. From 2002 to 2004, he was an Industrial Postdoctoral Researcher with the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at University of Minnesota. He joined University of South Carolina at Columbia in 2004, where he is currently a Professor of Mathematics. He has authored over 60 publications in the area of numerical analysis, image processing, computational geoscience, mesh optimization, and parallel computing. He has served as an Associate Editor for SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis since 2012.
