Mahantesh Halappanavar (hala@pnnl.gov) is a staff scientist in the physical and computational sciences directorate at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. His research interests include the interplay of algorithm design, architectural features, and input characteristics targeting massively multithreaded architectures and emerging multicore and many-core platforms. Mahantesh holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Old Dominion University, Norfolk VA.
