Maria Dimakopoulou

Biography
Maria Dimakopoulou is a Ph.D. candidate in Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University, specializing in Operations Research. She conducts research on Performance Engineering of Large-Scale Computer Systems and on Stochastic Modeling for Revenue Management and Optimization. In 2014, she earned her first graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece with the highest GPA in the 200-year history of the University. From 2012 to 2015, she worked at Google on the design of algorithms for large-scale optimization in Ad-Exchange Quality and in Technical Infrastructure. In 2016, she earned her second graduate degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University. Her Ph.D. research is supported by the "Arvanitidis" Stanford Graduate Fellowship and the Onassis Foundation. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the Intel Honorary Award, the Google Anita Borg Memorial Award, and the Stanford Outstanding Academic Achievement award.
