Md. Mostofa Ali Patwary is a Research Scientist in the Parallel Computing Lab at Intel Labs. His research interests span the areas of big data analytics, HPC, combinatorial scientific computing, parallel algorithms, and algorithm engineering. Before joining Intel Labs, he was a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Northwestern University in Illinois. He received his PhD from the Department of Informatics at University of Bergen, Norway in 2011. As part of the PhD program, he also worked as a Visiting Research Scholar in the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University in Indiana. He earned B.Sc and M.Sc degrees from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh in 2004 and 2006, respectively.
