Miguel Gila is an HPC System Engineer at the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) in Lugano, Switzerland. He studied at the University of Almeria in Spain, where he received his Master's Degree in Computer Science. Since 2008 he has been developing and operating clusters and HPC systems, first in the WLCG community as a member of the ATLAS Spanish Tier-2 and from 2011 supporting the HPC and HTC facilities that CSCS operates.

Currently he is responsible for SLURM operations and provides technical expertise and support to a number of leadership projects, such as the LHConCRAY initiative. He is also an active contributor to Shifter.
