Nicholas Bambos

Biography
Nicholas Bambos received the graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Athens, Greece, in 1984, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA, in 1989. He served on the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of California, Los Angeles, CA, USA, from 1990 to 1995, and joined Stanford University, in 1996, where he is now a Professor with the Electrical Engineering Department and the Management Science and Engineering Department. His research interests include Performance Engineering of Communication Networks and Computing Systems, including Queuing and Scheduling issues in Wireless and Wireline networks, as well as Ergodic Random Processes, Queuing Theory, and Adaptive Control of Stochastic Processing Networks.
