Philip Murphy

Biography
Philip Murphy is an architect within the Intel DCG Connectivity Group, focused on next generation fabric technology called Intel Omni-Path Architecture, and is responsible for platform architecture and planning.
Phil came to Intel as a result of the company’s transaction with QLogic Corporation where he was vice president of HPC technology, and responsible for interfacing with major end-users and OEMs. He also served as vice president of engineering within QLogic’s Network Solutions Group, responsible for the design and development of all high-performance computing products and storage area network switching products.
Before joining QLogic, Phil held the position of vice president of engineering at SilverStorm Technologies, a pioneer in applying InfiniBand technology to HPC environments, and was director of engineering at Unisys Corporation. Phil holds an MS degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
