Preeti Malakar

Biography
Preeti Malakar is a postdoctoral appointee in the Argonne Leadership and Computing Facility since 2014, after receiving her doctorate in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. She works on large-scale simulation-time analysis, high-performance I/O and topology-aware data movement. Her doctoral work was on efficient high-fidelity simulations, online data analysis and visualization in computational environments with varying resource configurations. Preeti devised novel techniques to improve throughput of simulations with multiple regions of interest, which was a finalist for the Best Student Paper in SC12. She was awarded the Google India Women in Engineering Award (now Google Anita Borg Scholarship) in 2011 and the TCS Research Fellowship during her PhD.
