Rajiv D. Bendale
Biography
Dr. Bendale is currently the Performance Enhancement Thrust Area lead for Engility’s Productivity Enhancement, Technology Transfer and Training (PETTT) program with the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). His team focuses on code optimization and refactoring of select DoD Multi-Physics simulation codes for extreme scale computing, identifying future trends and challenges relevant to DoD extreme scale simulation needs, and developing projects to address them. While with Engility Dr. Bendale has served as the technical director for FDA Scientific Computing and has led initiatives for NOAA such as the HPC requirements identification and system design effort (2009) and the R&D High Performance Computing System (RDHPCS) 2014 Technology Refresh. Prior to joining Engility in 2009, Dr. Bendale served as Chief Architect for Blue Gene system sales at IBM (2005-2009) and as Sr. Technical Solutions Specialist and Lead Architect on key pharmaceutical accounts with the IBM Healthcare and Life sciences group (2000-2005).
