Robert Grossman is the Chief Research Informatics Officer (CRIO), the Director of the Center for Data Intensive Science and a Professor in the Division of Biological Sciences at the University of Chicago. He is also a Core Faculty and Senior Fellow at the Computation Institute and the Institute for Genomics and Systems Biology (IGSB). He is the Founder and Director of the Open Commons Consortium, which is a not-for-profit that manages and operates cloud computing and data commons infrastructure to support scientific, medical, health care, and environmental research. Dr. Grossman is also the Founder and Chief Data Scientist of the Open Data Group.
