Seonmyeong Bak
Biography
Seonmyeong Bak is a Ph.D student at Department of Computer Science in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagin. He works with Prof. Laxmikant Kale and studies node-level parallel programming models in high-performance computing environment. Specifically, he has been developing on the integration of existing task level programming models such as OpenMP with message-driven models such as MPI and Charm++. This integration will consider memory hierarchy of the underlying hardwares and load imbalance between physical threads within a node. In addition to this, he has also interest in placement of jobs on clusters with user-defined scripts.
