Suraj Kumar

Biography
Suraj Kumar is a final year PhD student at University of Bordeaux, France. He is associated with STORM, HiePACS and REALOPT teams at INRIA Bordeaux. His PhD work is to design task based scheduling paradigms so that different dense linear algebra kernels can run efficiently on heterogeneous machine. He is also working on to provide bounds on the maximum performance of task based linear algebra algorithms. His research interests include but not limited to Task based scheduling, Runtime parallelization, Programming on hybrid architecture, Distributed computing, Theoretical analysis of algorithms and High Performance Computing.
Prior to joining University of Bordeaux, He was a software engineer in High Performance Analytics group at IBM India Research Lab, New Delhi. He received a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim, India in July 2010 followed by M.E. degree at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India in 2012.
