Sven Oehme , IBM Research Division, Almaden Research Center (oehmes@us.ibm.com). Sven Oehme is a Senior Research Scientist in the Parallel Filesystem Research Department at Almaden Research Center. Sven joined IBM in 1993 starting at a Infrastructure Engineering Team in Mainz, Germany supporting the IBM Hard Drive Manufacturing process. Sven held various positions within IBM's SW Development Organizations for multiple scalable virtualization services and products. He has more than 20 years of experience in multiple Unix and Windows operating systems, filesystems (GPFS, CIFS, NFS, AFS, DFS, ...), clustering, service virtualization, infrastructure services, and related topics. From 2009 to 2012, Sven was leading a WW distributed team of Developers to build and support IBM's Enterprise Scale-Out NAS SW Stack. In the middle of 2012, Sven started as Chief Research Strategist Spectrum Scale in IBM's Research Division in San Jose, CA within the Petascale Storage Organization directing and working on future file-based technologies.
