Jesús Montes
Biography
Jesús Montes is a data scientist and adjunct professor at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2010 from the same university, obtaining the best Thesis Award the following year. He is a member of IEEE since 2012, and his main research interests include advanced data analysis, Big Data, distributed systems, and large-scale computing. He has participated in several high-level international research projects including the Scalus and BigStorage ETNs and the Human Brain Project. He also works as a data scientist in one of the largest insurance firms in Spain, sharing his professional activity between industry and academia.
